Target Ovarian Cancer is an aspirational organisation which has built an incredible online community for those affected by the disease, under the inspiring leadership of Annwen Jones. As an incoming trustee, I hope to bring my expertise in cutting edge consumer technologies and best practices in online productivity and community building. I hope that this will enable Target Ovarian Cancer to serve its community as best as it possibly can, while fostering and continuing to build on the deep, human connection established.

Jo Paice

Clinics Director, Jo Paice, has worked at Bupa Health Clincs for 20 years where formerly she was Finance Director, having qualified as a chartered accountant at Deloitte. Bupa Health Clinics specialise in wellbeing services, such as health assessments, along with primary care through GP appointments, menopause and period plans, physiotherapy and mental health services.

One of our key focus areas is supporting primary care professionals with education and training to diagnose ovarian cancer as early as possible, and Jo hopes to use her expertise in both finance and the healthcare industry to help the charity achieve its ultimate goal – to save more lives.

Jo said:

On a personal level, I lost my Aunt Sheila to ovarian cancer some years ago and I want to help change the future for women affected by this disease. Cancer features very heavily in my role and I hear so many stories from patients who have had cancer detected, and know there is more that can be done for ovarian cancer. The opportunity to work closely with Target Ovarian Cancer to find solutions to many issues those living with ovarian cancer face was one that couldn’t be overlooked.

Angie Ma

Angie Ma, a physicist by training, brings nearly two decades of experience in science and technology to the forefront. She co-founded Faculty: Europe’s leading applied AI firm and a world leader in AI safety and responsible AI deployment.

Angie is well-versed in navigating the intricacies of technology’s role in driving impact and achieving strategic goals for organisations, and will utilise these skills to harness new opportunities in the ever-changing digital landscape to support women with ovarian cancer.
