BRCA Kent (East Kent)

Support group for women with an inherited BRCA1/2 gene mutation.

The support group meets every other month at Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate. The group is an opportunity for local women with an inherited BRCA1/2 gene mutation to meet others in the same situation and to talk about various topics, including risk-reducing surgery (mastectomy and oophorectomy) and HRT. Occasionally there are talks given by health professionals and every woman that attends is made to feel welcome, safe and part of a caring community where they are able to share experiences. There is also a closed Facebook group available.

If you're interested in joining the group or would like to find out more, have a look at the BRCA Kent website.
