People sitting in comfortable chairs and talking at a cancer support centre

Maggie’s Centre, Lanarkshire

Airdrie-based cancer support centre offering social and emotional support on a drop-in basis.

Maggie's offers free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families and friends. Help is freely offered to anyone with any type of cancer, from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

As most women diagnosed with gynaecological cancers have their treatment in Glasgow, we know that people don't always have the chance to just drop into Maggie's Lanarkshire, and might not know what Maggie's has to offer.

As Maggie's Lanarkshire our programme includes:

  • Workshops on coping with cancer treatment, getting a better sleep, and health eating.
  • Drop-in relaxation, yoga and Tai-Chi sessions.
  • A singing group, expressive writing group, and walking groups.
  • Support groups.
  • Where now? and Living with less stress courses.

You can also talk with one of our professional team including cancer support specialists, benefits advisors and psychologists.

We welcome anyone affected by ovarian cancer into Maggie's Lanarkshire. There's no appointment of referral necessary, you just come through the door.

You are warmly invited to an Ovarian Cancer Networking Group at Maggie's Lanarkshire. The group will meet from 3–4pm on the fourth Tuesday afternoon of each month. There's no need to book a place, just come along!
