The Sunflower support group is for women who have been diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer. It's a great way of meeting others within the local area who have been through similar treatment such as surgery, radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy. Here you can find mutual support and friendship.
The support group is run by gynaecological nurse specialists who can also give advice and support in an informal setting. The support group provides the opportunity to learn about health and wellbeing during and after cancer treatment from other health care professionals such as benefits advisors, dieticians and complementary therapists.
The group meets three to four times a year at The Angel Centre.
