We’re excited to announce that we’ve been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) to develop our new England wide peer support service for women with ovarian cancer. We're very grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for their extremely generous three-year grant.

About the project
Peer support happens when those with similar long-term conditions, or health experiences, come together to support each other – either on a one-to-one or group basis.
With this funding, we aim to reach and support more women living with ovarian cancer across England. The funding will help us build a strong network of peer support, empowering women to connect, share experiences, and reduce the isolation that so many feel after a diagnosis.
Over the three-year grant, we hope to increase opportunities for both in-person and virtual peer support and fill an important gap in support available.
- What is the National Lottery Community Fund?
The National Lottery Community Fund gives grants to organisations in the UK to help improve their communities, using money raised by players of The National Lottery.
You can find out more about the NLCF by looking at their website.
- How can I get involved?
We’ve already made a start on developing the NLCF peer support project with our community, and are currently planning the next steps of the project. There will be many ways to get involved including helping us to develop the service, volunteering to deliver support sessions or helping us to spread the word about the service.
- How can I stay up to date with this project?
We'll share more about the NLCF peer-to-peer support project throughout 2025, but if you'd like to stay up to date, please complete the form below to let us know.
- Why is this project only being set up in England?
The funding we have received from the National lottery community fund is provided to develop the service in England only. This funding allows us to develop and evaluate the service with the aim of rolling out the service across the UK in the future.
