Valerie

Valeria - Nurse

“I’ve worked on the support line since it first openend and I've supported so many wonderful women since I came to work at the charity, building long lasting relationships with many. We offer support for everyone, not just the person with ovarian cancer but anyone they know. Over the years, the support we give has grown and diversified, we now also offer our tea and chat sessions for women with a diagnosis, which I facilitate. It’s a privilege to hear people share their experiences and support each other from a place of shared experience and understanding.”

Rachel

Rachel - Nurse

“I previously worked as a clinical nurse specialist in Gynae Oncology within the NHS and before this as a research nurse for clinical trials. As well as supporting people affected by ovarian cancer on the support line, I update our website information about clinical trials and support the nursing team in developing new forms of support.

I also co-facilitate the My Next Steps course with Val. This supports women with ovarian cancer to regain their physical and emotional wellbeing after ovarian cancer treatment."
