Frequently asked questions

When will I hear back about my London Marathon 2027 application?

We’ll review applications throughout June and July 2026 and may be in touch via telephone to discuss your application further. We’ll let all applicants know the outcome of their application via email as soon as possible. If you have any questions, you can always contact us at [email protected]

How will you support me in the lead-up to event day?

We want to make sure that you can feel included in a community taking part in this challenge together for a common goal to raise vital funds and awareness to help everyone affected by ovarian cancer.

You will have access to online communities such as Strava and WhatsApp to connect with your fellow teammates. We’ll also provide you with bespoke support in the lead-up to event day, including regular email newsletters and fundraising resources to help you reach your target.

What happens if I can't reach the £3,000 minimum sponsorship target?

Our dedicated Events Team is here to support you every step of the way with fundraising ideas and materials to send out.

Ultimately, your support ensures that we can continue helping everyone affected by ovarian cancer. Therefore, we would recommend all applicants to think about their past fundraising history and ideas to reach the minimum £3,000 sponsorship target and consider whether you can commit to raising this, before completing an application.

What happens if I get injured and can no longer take part?

Before submitting your application, we ask that you are reasonably sure that you will be able to safely train for the marathon. Please consult with your doctor if you have any doubt.

If you find that you are not able to take part in the TCS London Marathon, please let us know by Tuesday 30 June 2026 to discuss next steps. This is to ensure that we can fill all our charity places before the deadline and maximise funds raised to support women affected by ovarian cancer.

I have my own place through the ballot. Can I still join Team Target?

Yes! We would absolutely love for you to be part of Team Target with your own place secured independently of the charity. You will receive all the same support as a charity place runner. Simply get in touch with us at [email protected] to register your interest.

If you have any further questions, please contact us at [email protected].
