Employee benefits

Working at Target Ovarian Cancer means you'll be part of our dedicated team transforming the future of ovarian cancer, and have access to these benefits.

Wellbeing and organisational culture

We take colleague wellbeing seriously and strive to foster a supportive, respectful environment where everyone can thrive. Our approach includes:

  • A weekly wellbeing hour, during which all colleagues are encouraged to take time out during the working week to engage in an activity that enhances their wellbeing
  • A positive and inclusive workplace culture, where mutual support and respect are central to how we work
  • Access to a confidential Employee Assistance Programme, offering expert advice, specialist counselling, and a wide range of health and wellbeing resources

Flexible working

We understand the value of flexibility. While most colleagues work primarily from home, with one or two optional days per week in the office, we do not mandate a set number of office-based days. We hold a quarterly in-person all-staff meeting in London, and some roles may involve occasional face-to-face meetings.

Annual leave

We offer enhanced holiday entitlements to support work–life balance:

  • 25 days annual leave on joining
  • Rising to 27 days after one year of service
  • And 30 days after two years of service (all in addition to UK public holidays).

Learning and development

We are committed to continuous learning and development. Our colleagues have access to a range of opportunities, including:

  • High-quality e-learning programmes
  • Personal and leadership development
  • External courses
  • Support for professional qualifications in some circumstances

Volunteering leave

We offer two days of paid volunteering leave per year to support charitable causes of your choice, as well as the opportunity to contribute to events across the organisation.

Retail discounts

Colleagues can access a wide selection of retail discounts, including savings on groceries, technology and more.

Group life insurance

In the unfortunate event of your death while employed with us, your chosen beneficiaries will receive a lump sum payment of three times your annual salary.

Pension scheme

We offer a pension scheme with a 5% employer contribution, provided via a salary exchange arrangement.

Season ticket loan

An interest-free season ticket loan is available to help colleagues spread the cost of commuting.

Childcare vouchers

We continue to support colleagues who are already enrolled in the government’s childcare voucher scheme.

Buddy system

All new colleagues are paired with a dedicated buddy to provide informal support and guidance as they settle into their role and the wider organisation.
